چکیده

We introduce a concept of a quantum wide sense stationary process taking values in a C*-algebra and expected in a sub-algebra. The power spectrum of such a process is defined, in analogy to classical theory, as a positive measure on frequency space taking values in the expected algebra. The notion of linear quantum filters is introduced as some simple examples mentioned. 1 Spectral Analysis of WSS Quantum Processes In the following we consider processes depending on a continuous time variable t ∈ R: the frequency domain will be denoted as R̂ for distinction. Therefore we have the Fourier transform conventions f̂ (ν) = ∫ R e tν f (t) dt, f (t) =

The World of Quantum Noise and the Fundamental Output Process

A stationary theory of quantum stochastic processes of second order is outlined. It includes KMS processes in wide sense like the equilibrium finite temperature quantum noise given by the Planck’s spectral formula. It is shown that for each stationary noise there exists a natural output process which is identical to the noise in the infinite temperature limit, and flipping with the noise if the...

Linear Estimation of Stationary Stochastic Processes , Vibrating Strings , and Inverse Scattering

Some vibrating string equations are derived for estimating a stationary stochastic process given some observations of this process over a finite interval. These equations are the time-domain counterpart of equations introduced by Krein, and Dym and McKean in the frequency domain. They are obtained by decomposing the observation and signal processes into even and odd processes, and by solving so...

The Uniform Mean-Square Ergodic Theorem for Wide Sense Stationary Processes

It is shown that the uniform mean-square ergodic theorem holds for the family of wide sense stationary sequences, as soon as the random process with orthogonal increments, which corresponds to the orthogonal stochastic measure generated by means of the spectral representation theorem, is of bounded variation and uniformly continuous at zero in a mean-square sense. The converse statement is also...

Analysis, design, and performance limitations of H2 optimal filtering in the presence of an additional input with known frequency

The standard H2 optimal filtering problem considers the estimation of a certain output based on the measured output when the input is a zero mean white noise stochastic process of known intensity. In this paper, the inputs are considered to be of two types. The first type of input, as in standard H2 optimal filtering, is a zero mean wide sense stationary white noise, while the second type is a ...

Stationary quantum stochastic processes from the cohomological point of view

Stationary quantum stochastic process j is introduced as a *homomorphism embedding an involutive graded algebra K̃ = ⊕i=1Ki into a ring of (abelian) cohomologies of the one-parameter group α consisting of *-automorphisms of certain operator algebra in a Hilbert space such that every x from Ki is translated into an additive i− αcocycle j(x). It is shown that (noncommutative) multiplicative markov...
